Join Karen Bennett on a walking tour of the North Grove Cemetery! She will be discussing notable people interred there, such as members of the Riley family, Bruno Betzel, and other members of Mercer County’s history. Bennett will also speak about different forms of tombstone art and symbolism.

The tour will begin onsite at the North Grove Cemetery on October 13, 2025, at 5pm.

Karen Miller Bennett, CG, is a Board-certified genealogist, retired in 2024, and the author of Karen’s Chatt website. She has been researching family history for over 30 years and is a life-long Mercer County resident.

Karen Bennett returns with her program “Rocks of Ages: Tombstone Art and Cemetery Research.” Attendees will learn about the intricate symbolism present on tombstones, as well as the research that goes into appreciating cemeteries.

This presentation will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2PM in the Richardson-Bretz Building.
