The Riley House Received New Insulation!

Thanks to an anonymous donation from a family in the community, the Mercer County Historical Society was able to install new insulation in the Riley House!

Thanks to the hard work of Proshield and Weaver Roofing, the Riley House museum is noticeably warmer during this chilly weather, something that is sincerely appreciated by both the volunteers and the thousands of artifacts in their care. One of the greatest dangers to the preservation of historical artifacts is unstable, fluctuating temperatures. Now that new insulation has been installed, the MCHS is one step closer to ensuring that the artifacts in our care will be available for the public to enjoy for generations to come.

If you are interested in helping the Mercer County Historical Society achieve its goals for 2026, please check out our future projects page! We have multiple projects on the books that are in need of support. As we know all too well here at the Riley House, a museum is only so great as the community it represents!
