Every Step Counts at the Riley House!

The Mercer County Historical Society is pleased to announce the completion of a major improvement at the historic Riley House in Celina. Thanks to the skilled work of KS Concrete and the generous support of the Mercer County Civic Foundation, the museum now features a newly completed concrete entryway that enhances both safety and accessibility for visitors. In addition to the front entry, the staff entrance was also replaced, and a new landing was added to ensure greater safety for those working at the museum.

The Riley House, home of the Mercer County Historical Society, welcomes hundreds of guests each year who come to learn about the people and stories that shaped the county. With the addition of these new installations, the museum can better serve the community by providing a safe and secure welcome for school groups, families, and history enthusiasts.

Funding for the project was made possible by a grant from the Mercer County Civic Foundation, whose mission includes supporting local cultural and educational institutions. Their investment in preserving and improving the Riley House helps ensure that Mercer County’s history remains accessible for generations to come.

This project would not have been possible without the Civic Foundation’s support and the excellent work of KS Concrete. The Riley House invites the public to visit and see the improvements firsthand as it continues its mission of preserving and sharing Mercer County’s unique heritage. We are open on Mondays and Fridays from 9 to 5.
